We are looking for enthusiastic University students living in regional towns of Australia (Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, etc.) who
would be active participants and interested in attending a special research event, on the topic of road safety , held in Brisbane on
Wednesday 8 July, 2015. We will be flying participants (and organising travel to and from the event) free of charge from various
regional locations. The event is a research workshop for about 100 young people, and will include a mix of information sessions
and focus group discussions, with lunch and refreshments provided throughout the day. The event runs from 9:30am until 3:30pm.
We hope you will appreciate that this is a special opportunity for young people to get involved in an important topic, and to see a bit
of Brisbane in the process! The incentive is $150 cash (plus an extra $20 for additional travel expenses to and from the local airport).
(Please note - the flights to and from the event will likely take place on the day. So participants will need to be available and okay to
travel early morning, e.g. around 6-8am, and evening, e.g. around 5-7pm.)
The criteria:
- University students aged 18-21 (must be currently enrolled)
- living in Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Mackay, Bundaberg, Gladstone
- all must be enthusiastic and well-spoken participants, not shy to get involved!
